CITY OF NEW BEDFORD

The City of New Bedford has identified nine areas for economic development including the New Bedford Airport, Central Business District, waterfront and terminals, a industrial park and several brownfield sites. All of the area have been designated as EOA's. The major highways serving New Bedford are Interstate 195, Route 140 and Route 6. CSX provides rail freight service and the state has announced the restoration of commuter rail service to Boston. In addition SRTA provides fixed route transit service throughout the city.
