21 Day Comment Period for amendments to the FFY20-24 TIP & FFY20 UPWP & Public Meeting Announcement

Contact: Lisa Estrela-Pedro email@example.com for more info.SRPEDD Announces a 21-day Public Comment Period and Public Meeting to hear comments for an amendment to the FFY2020 year of the FFY2020-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and 4 amendments to the FFY2020 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP).
October 15, 2019 – There is a proposed amendment to the FFY2020 year of the FFY2020-2024 TIP concerning the New Bedford 606718 project- Intersection Improvements at Hathaway Road, Mount Pleasant Street & Nauset Street due to a cost increase. There are also 4 proposed amendments to the FFY2020 UPWP involving a new transit study to be added, a 20% increase in FTA funding for planning tasks, and a reduction of $30,000 in funding, as well as a revised and list of procedures and project deliverables for SRTA Technical Planning tasks.
The TIP is the programming document listing all federally funded road and bridge projects in the region and all transit projects for both the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) and the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA). The TIP lists all projects in the 27 SRPEDD communities to be funded through the year 2024. The UPWP identifies, in a single document, the annual transportation planning activities that are to be undertaken in the Southeastern Massachusetts Metropolitan Area which is also the SRPEDD region, from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.
A public meeting to hear comments and concerns on these amendments will be held at SRPEDD, located at 88 Broadway in Taunton, MA on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 4 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend, ask questions and offer comments.
