FFY19- 23 Draft TIP & FFY18-22 Proposed TIP Amendment #3

SRPEDD Announces a 21-day Public Comment Period and Public Meeting for the draft FFY2019-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) concerning projects in the communities of New Bedford, Dartmouth, Taunton, Norton Seekonk, Lakeville, Middleborough, Attleboro, Raynham, Mattapoisett, Rehoboth, Mansfield, Plainville & Wareham, as well as an amendment to the present FFY2018-22 TIP involving projects in New Bedford and Fall River.
April 17, 2018 – the draft FFY2019-2023 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is being released for a 21-day public comment period. The TIP is the programming document listing all federally funded road and bridge projects in the region and all transit projects for both the Southeastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) and the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA). The TIP lists all projects in the 27 SRPEDD communities to be funded through the year 2023. There is also an amendment to the present FFY2018-22 TIP involving a cost decrease for the FFY2021 Fall River- Weaver Street Bridge Replacement project and the year 1 of the New Bedford Superstructure Replacement of I-195 ramps over Route 18 being moved out from FFY2022 to FFY2023.
A public meeting to hear comments and concerns on these amendments will be held at SRPEDD, located at 88 Broadway, Taunton, MA on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 4 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend, ask questions and offer comments.
The draft TIP and proposed amended TIP items can be found on SRPEDD’s website at for review. The draft TIP and the amendments will become final on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 when approved by the SMMPO at the next meeting.
