South Coast Rail GIS Shapefiles and Functional Base Map

SCR Base Map
Screen Shot of SRPEDD's South Coast Rail Base Map

Introduction

The GIS shapefiles and functional ESRI base map available for download from this page were generated by SRPEDD for the purposes of consolidating and releasing to the public.  The shapefiles attempt to replicate - to the greatest extent possible - the data presented in the "Corridor Map" on page 7 of the South Coast Rail Economic Development and Land Use Corridor Plan. These files merge data from thirty-one (31) study area towns, three (3) Regional Planning Agencies (MAPC, OCPC, and SRPEDD), the consulting firms Goody Clancy and Regina Villa Associates, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, and MassGIS.

Information detailing the South Coast Rail planning process, each site depicted, and the South Coast Rail project in general can be found in at the SCR Project website.

Any data management questions should be addressed to Nancy Durfee, Grant King, and Karen Porter at SRPEDD.
